What We Offer
At the Blackhawks, it is our aim to offer a full American Football experience at an affordable rate, and as a team a focus has been put on making sure what we offer goes above and beyond.
Coaching
We are committed to recruiting and vetting our coaching staff to provide our players with nothing but the very best football experience. For 2026, each position has its dedicated coaching staff member, as well as at least one player-coach to assist with coaching duties. Doing so allows us to plan for the future, but ensure our current coacing needs are met.
Facilities
We are proud to be the only American football club in Scotland with our very own dedicated changing facilities. Our setup includes fully equipped changing rooms with showers, a physio area and a film room for team analysis and development.
We are constantly working to improve our facilities - recent upgrades include new lockers for players and staff, along with office space for our Head Coach to support planning and team operations.
Our playing surface is grass and has specialist American Football goals, one of the few facilities in Scotland that offer this. During the winter months we also have access to Wishaw Sports Centre and utilise their 4G pitch for pre-season preparations.
Off-the-field Development
2026 in particular marks a huge step forward for the club. With a new, energised committee in place, we've focussed on building stronger foundations to support our long-term growth.
From improved organisation and community engagement to new sponsorship partnerships and ehanced player support, every area of the club has been elevated.
Our new committee is committed to driving professionalism, structure and ambition - ensuring that the progress we make behind the scenes matches the effort we bring on the field.
What It Costs
Equipment
We understand that getting started in American Football can be expensive, especially when it comes to purchasing new gear. That's why we offer all new players the chance to loan club equipment at a cost while they source their own equipment. It's a simple way to get you on the field quickly, safely and part of the team right from the start. We want everyone to have the chance to play, learn and enjoy the game without the pressure of buying everything straight away.

Becoming a member of our club means more than just joinging a team - it means becoming part of a family. Our membership options are designed to make joining accessible and affordable, with flexible payment plans available.
Membership includes access to training sessions, coaching and the use of club facilities. We are proud to offer a supportive environment where every member can develop their skills, build friendships and contribute to the continued growth of the club, both on and off the field.
BAFA Fees
All members of any organisation within Britain must register with the national governing body: British American Football Association. These fees are paid yearly and cover aspects of the running of the league including insurance cover for all members and associated organisations. Every player MUST register with BAFA prior to participating in fully-kitted practices.
